  2. on most nokia phones if you keep pressing down then it displays a number knock the =44 of it and add a 0 at the fron then thats the phone it come from. Some older nokias require you clicking on the ok button then go to details the same thing is in there
  3. ok heres the techie bit Your amd 3000 chip has a speed of 333mhz this is your fsb (front side bus speed) your motherboard (thing every thing plugs into) is proberly only a 333mhz board. So yes in effect your upgrade was not worth anything. Your amd chip governs the speed everything runs at so the ram will match the chip. the speed differance between 333mhz and 400mhz is not really noticible. but i would take this up with mesh as this little "upgrade" will cost you alot of money to utilise
  4. dont want to be a downer but sounds far to much like hard work and a root for many conflicts [ 22. July 2004, 08:59 PM: Message edited by: rickster ]
  5. ok heres mine Litter, one water where i fish you get the weekend carper, takes a carrier bag puts his rubbish in then hangs it from the fence, nice people but someone still got to clear it Weekend carpers, those who turn up on a friday with everything and the kitchen sink. Bivvie up and when nature calls and no not a pee, they cant be bothered to reel their lines in walk the 5 mins to the toilets, they just go somewhere where its quiet drop the trouser do the deed then flag it up with a bit of pink paper. USE THE BLOODY TOILETS Inconsiderate people next to you. Those who give balifs hard time for charging them to fish. Bait companys that insist on selling every thing in cans. Why not do what smartbait do and sell it in a pouch, less litter easier to carry. other than that i dont really have any others i just tend to let everything else just drift by, im fishing and thats all im worrying about at that time
  6. any "newbie" pike angler with a ounze of common sense would be welcomed anywhere i think. Its those who go with out a landing net, or any of the right tackle. Those who dont want to learn. Those who wont take anyones advice even tho they might of been fishing for 20 years for pike. Those you havent got a clue and think anyone can catch and land a pike and not cause it any unnessercery (SP) harm. Those are the ones i have a problem with. I once went down the canal near here in about october time and there was this bloke fishing for pike useing a roach must of been best part of 1 1/2lb with 3 yes 3 trbles and 6lb mono. Abit intriged as to what he was doing i asked him and you could imagine what i said when he said he was pike fishing. I explained that he needs different trace materials ( ended up giving him about 3 traces. He needed a bigger landing net a spoon net wont cut it with pike. A couple of pairs of forceps. He caught 3 pike that day and i hope he took my adivce and went and got the correct gear. Those are the type of "newbies" i will help. I wont help the ones when you explain that they gonna be in trouble if they hook a pike and then i get told to f@@@ off or similer
  7. tetley south walsham broad is better for bream than at ludham, just fish of the staith there but again only after sunset get them hirecraft out the way first
  8. best thing is to get gear that suits where he will be fishing if its in carp pools then you got to look at carp gear, if its the local day ticket lake then maybe a whip will do. I think the best place to look would be at boot fairs theres enough on the go at the moment and yourself being a angler would know what to look for.
  9. when you apply for the web award it lists the things your site must have/do for each award, ie for gold it must be updated each week, etc etc its all very clear and simple just read the information you get before you click the submit button. Oh it is Elton well thats who i got the email fom informing me of my award
  10. dont congers have lock jaw where they wont let go untill their teeth meet? if thats the case then surley it should be " with my remaining hand"
  11. rather than buy straight from the net goto a shop and have a play with the reels so you got an idea for the feel of them etc etc
  12. for the cost of hiring a cruiser for a week on the broads might as well goto spain for a week and get a suntan, also even with a cruiser you are still limited for pike fishing, the best thing would be a small dinghy a electric outboard and a local for knowing where to go.
  13. what camera have those pictures been taken on, the quality is great
  14. im with peter on this having lived in norfolk, to get good pike you need a boat, some good bank places are a place called horning, but i dont know of any campsites near there. to stand any chance of pike you will need to fish after sunset once all the hirecraft have stopped, and you will need to ask lots of questions at lots of tackle shops up there to be able to get some idea of where to go
  15. If you are just starting out then a cheap alternative to a unhooking mat is a babies changing mat. If you are tench fishing then its a essential along with a landing net. You can float fish for tench or ledger, worms are a very good bait and best results usually comes from dawn and dusk on warm days, tench bites are bold and usually sudden they just pick up the bait and run with it. You will find tench in slow moving waters or still waters mainly with them prefering silt bottoms. They will also follow a set route when feeding a tale tale sign is little pin prick bubbles where they are nudging around in the bottom. They also like weed, reeds so fishing tight along them will bag a few as well. Dont be afraid to ask the shop owner questions they are only to willing to help and if they dont help they are in the wrong job
  16. For those on dail up connection heres the picture resized [ 15. July 2004, 11:27 AM: Message edited by: rickster ]
  17. yeah those ponds you see near eurodisney are syndicate waters, i go over to disney about 4 times a year with work, on one of those trips i went to the lakes to find out about them. They do look nice tho according to owner carp to over 30lb cats and a few sturgeon in there
  18. ELton ask AM to do a review on your site, that way it will get a mention in the AM the AT and most other mags,
  19. knowing my luck ill swap 2 weeks of peace and quiet for 2 weeks at euro disney with lots of screeming kids, not 1 sign of water or fish. I like my holidays to be just that MY holidays
