  1. Bringing hooked fish to hand, WRONG Dave [ 19. October 2003, 05:45 PM: Message edited by: fisherman ]
  2. Which part of the north coast are you thinking about fishing? It does stretch for quite a way. Dave
  3. Looking good at the moment. It will look even better when matured a bit. Discus do really need soft/well water to do good in and with that shell in there sometimes they can turn the water slightly harder than they like. Just take your stocking of fish slowly and read about the fish first. Do not want to wake up in the morning to find all your Guppies missing and a well fed Oscar looking for more. Dave [ 13. 9. Leon I once saw a prog. with Dave Lewis fishing with Matt Hayes. They were catching Golden Mullet from the Bristol Channel I think and Dave told Matt that the way to tell Goldies from thick lipped was that the goldies have a black spot just by the pectral (spelling) fin. Was this right? Dave
  10. Cheers guys, all sorted now. Dave
  11. Please help. I have bought 2 rods off Peter Waller in the auction room. The problem is he cannot get them to me. The P.O. say they are too fat in the rod tubes and Parcel Force say they only take upto 1.5m. Any suggestions on how he can get the rods to me!!!! Who does anybody else use for this sort of thing. Dave
  12. This is the first time all day I have been able to get to the forums page today. 10-09 P.M. Just kept getting page unavailable all the time. Dave [ 30. August 2003, 10:11 PM: Message edited by: fisherman ]

I used to see the Osteopath every month until this contraption came my way and I haven`t been to him since. It may look like nothing but I swear it works for me. All the best mate we all know how it feels. Dave [ 26. August 2003, 09:49 PM: Message edited by: fisherman ]

    Sun Fish

I caught one a few years ago from the rocks in Cornwall. It was by shear luck and not design, I was using feathers for mackeral and false hooked it around the mouth area. Hell can`t they fight, would never have thought a fish of that shape could move so fast. Glad to say it was brought to the side and released unharmed. Always the way things go, no damn camera but my mate was there to verify it. I don`t think you could fish for them specically. Dave
  15. I did a search for the affected file and found nothing but I still got a mail delivery failure on mail I did not send.  Dave
  16. Yes with a rod Totally knackered after mind. It was a fantastic day, they were even tearing the rubby dubby bag apart and taking the floats off the surface. Sadly I do not think we shall see the like of those days again. Dave
  17. Shark fishing is a bit like pike fishing. Too many people do it, that haven,t got a clue. [/QB] Many a true word. Go along with Cranfield on this. Dave
  18. Welcome to the board Willsy. Don`t we all have just one more cast, even if it is too dark to see it lol. Dave
  19. Could not agree more with all that has been said so far. The sooner they are found and banned somehow from the forum the better. Dave
  20. I might just do that if I knew where you were. I am coming down to North Cornwall next month, Port Isaac  Dave
