  3. About this time last year, my wife and I stayed in Windermere and while on a boat trip to and from Ambleside, I spotted a couple of anglers reeling in big fish around the High Wray/Wray Crag area.

  7. Bob, when I first started fishing, I blanked for 6 sundays on the trot, all around me was catching, on almost the same set up when I finally hooked one (3 inches long) It was heaven. stick at it, you wont regret it.

  14. Tigger, I picked up a Preston Carbonactive Sentient 14' float rod...thats a mouthful very light in the hand, this is what its about... The Sentient 14' Float has all the characteristics of the 13' version. The additional length makes it perfect for all round river work or distance float fishing where ultra fast line pick-up is required.     Cracking info from Chav Dont forget, you'll be holding the rod a long time so I'd suggest you go for the lightest possible rod for the species/expected weight.
  22. Here's a look lads... I remember buying the mag after seeing this little beaut in it, I was in two minds as to buying one.Bet yer wouldnt mind running about in this. Look at the prices only 12 months old as well some boats.

    This size. BTW, its Pete from http://www.castandcatch.com/ the fish was caught in the River Mersey the other day, his first mullet and well deserved after targeting them for some time.
