  1. Here is the full run down from the Dunfermline Parliamentary By-Election. UKIP Scotland 208 SNP 7261 Scottish Christioan Party 411 Abolish Forth Bridge tolls 374 Scottish Socialist Party 537 Scottish Lib Dems 12391 The Common Good 103 Scottish Conservative & Unionists 2702 Scottish Labour Party 10591 Electorate 71,017 Number of votes cast 34,613 Rejected papers 35 Majority 1800 Percentage poll 48.74% The look on Catherine Stihler's (Labour) face when she realised that she was second was classic, In this area normally you coud have put up a donkey with a Labour rosette and it would have got in, I guess people are just fed up round here. The dockyard is getting run down, although 700 apprentices have been anounced over the next 3 years, some big companies are pulling out of the area or slimlining their work force. The hospital board are trying to run down the big hospital although Dunfermline is spreading at a worrying rate. For the two weeks before the election it was mad, there were so many MP's, MSP's and MEP"S in the High St that you could hardly move. And most of them were saying the same thing, regardless of the party. Now we will just have to see if Willie sticks to what he promised...

  5. I used to photograph Ronan a lot, got to know him quite well, he is a really nice genuine guy. I also met the Dalhi Lama last year, even though I only had a few minutes you can tell he is an amazing man, and has a fantastic sense of humour.
  6. I have just seen this, I was out doing a wedding on Sat, Looks like you did ok and got a good selection of pic's. The only tips I could have given was to take pictures of everything, do 2 or 3 of each set up, don't drink booze but do keep drinking water. get the formal shots done quickly and make sure you do the oldies and kids first as they get tired quicker. Carry loads of spares, and have fun. 500 miles is not a problem for me, I will go anywhere for a job, worked around London a few times last year. I love doing weddings, they are mostly the same but so different. As has been said, if you need any help let me know and I will see what I can do for you, glad it all went well for you. David Just had a look on SatNav, Sheffield id 244 miles from me and 4hrs 40mins

  8. Like Jeeps my job gives me the chance to meet lots of celeb's, sports folks, bands and MP's. Being honest, to me, they are just folk that a lot of people "know" through some means. Some of my pictures are in sone very well known people's houses and I dread it if I lost one of my phones.
  9. Well done Matt, I was starting to wonder if she had arrived. She is a stunner!!! I take it she will be joining you on your fishing trips, one rucksack for the tackle and one for her

    Quicky

Ahh, yes, the oldies are the best...
  13. Scotland beat the Frenchies, Scotland beat the Frenchies... na na na na, na na na na
  14. Wish I'd seen that earlier, I'd have had that, have to look in here more often
  15. I'd update all my camera's, get another car and a small boat, have a couple of holidays, pay off my friends debts, help a charity that I work with and still work, I love what I do, but I would pay someone to do the bits I don't like.
  16. Hi Wurzel, The worst of it all was that people were buying the fish, I've thrown out bait that was better. There was Bass that must have been farmed because they were so small (looked well under size) that were really dry, their eyes were really sunk in, looked horrid. I don't know how they get away with selling this stuff. Thats one of the reasons I take a few home with me for my mum, she loves fish but wont buy it from the shops, not that stuff anyway.
  17. I would love to send them to you, but I keep them incase I need them, although I do know someone that will be selling a couple soon, if you're interested I will let you know how much he wants for them. I love the F5, I just wish Nikon would make a digi camera that handled the same, even the D2x isn't as nice.
  18. Well I look just like my pic... yup, I'm a dogfish being held by something big and scary
  19. For what it's worh, I was in my local Tesco the other day and thought I would have a look at the fish counter, the fish were stinking and very dry, looked like they had been frozen a few times too. I wouldn't have eaten them, don't think I would have even used them for bait.
  20. Hope you have a great day, Happy Birthday
  21. Well done on getting the new car, it will be a lot better than the old one. I'm still fighting a claim, been told it will be going to court, the other insurer admited full liability but won't pay out for my expences and injuries
  22. Hmmm, Jon, that looks good. But the goat is still there... but it only has 3 legs now
  23. Terry, That is a great story, I can just picture it . A few years ago we had a wasp nest in one of the huts at the gun club I was a member of, tried most things to remove it until one of the guys came round with a 12 bore and a 3" magnum, one boom and there wasn't much left of it... but there was a nice hole in the roof of the hut
  24. The best reply I got to a package not being delivered was "well you didn't send it guaranteed so I don't know how you think it will get delivered", I answered with the old fav of, I entered a contract with you when I bought a stamp and handed it over to you, you are now in breach of contract... next answer was... uuuhhh??? I for one am sick of the post office, isn't it funny how junk mail gets through without a problem though
