My son manages a tyre/exhaust shop in Cambridge and travels 25 miles to get in each morning, the staff that live just up the road don't turn up because they didn't think he would!! Mind you they didn't bother to check if he had!

I've just had a look at my skype setup and it says nothing about video format?? Daft question but how new is your webcam and did you run the webcam install software? Apart from the problem you are having I find Skype really useful and as you say it's free Skype to Skype calls and even the international phone calls are cheap. I like the new "Share your screen" feature, it's great for expalining how stuff is set up on other peoples computers, except yours that is!!

We have always been pretty lucky with neighbours over the years. However an elderly couple moved in next door but one a few years back. Soon after moving in the old lady died and left her elderly husban a widower. He is a Lay Preacher so you'd expect him to be a reasonable sort of guy? But far from it! We had some post delivered for him to us by the highly efficient postie we have. My wife took it round to him, knocked on the door and handed it to him with the story of wrong delivery, he snatched it from her and almost trapped her in the door as he slammed it shut in her face.

Hi Newt, Thanks for that, I guess you've just had a significant birthday? I had mine in April and am enjoying seeing those pension payments popping up on the bank statement. It's certainly a bit apprehensive knowing that the majority of your life has passed you by in what seems a blink of an eye. You never know what's around the corner you could just have another 30 to 40 years to go moderating AN God help us!! At least you are in a warm/hot spot at present, practising for things to come perhaps

We haven't had a mail delivery since last Thursday?? Just heard today the Royal Mail in the Cambridge area have told the Posties that if they feel it's too difficult to make deliveries they don't have to!! We have had about 2 inches of snow and the roads are clear. Now when I was a lad.................................

A friend of mine had a call from some bloke yesterday saying he was phoning to help sort out her computer problem. She asked who he was, he ignored her and repeated his words. She hung up and disconnected her computer but when she reconnected later that evening she found she couldn't get online?? Anyone any ideas? I have no other info as yet only that she is on BT Broadband.

The fly fishing legend Arthur Cove passed away on the 18th of Dec. after a long illness. Arthur was famous for the Cove Pheasant Tail nymph and fishing long leaders amongst other things. He wrote a book called "My way with Trout", if you can get a copy it's well worth the read. He was 79. RIP Arthur!!
