  1. A good tip is get your insurance before you go, i did my first cbt on a saturday and passed at 4pm and all the insurance companys were closed untill monday so i had to get the train home and go back for my bike on monday
  2. Iv done 3, been riding on cbt's for 5 years now. There no sweat
  3. Any idea whats happend to my screen? Hosted by me so its safe! Thanks in advance
  4. I wouldn't trust them, in the advert nobody is in control of the car and they are doing about 30mph in reverse while sitting on the head-rest's. Plus it's sexist!
  5. Put them in the wife's purse, they never notice
  6. Lol, i carp fish, but i do all fishing. This week I've been on the quiver tip for tench, ( driving past my cat/carp lake to get there) and been on the river 3 times spinning for perch and chub. And before the carp police come for me I'd like to say in my defence that the tench was caught on pop-up corn with a running cage feeder, fished on the edge of my Spodded ground-bait For the pike police, i use the same set-up for perch as i do for pike, just smaller lures and spinners and have my menagerie of pike unhooking gear with me just in-case!
  7. Disappointed because it was 5.5lb tench I've been fishing for over 16 years and have had fish to nearly 32lb (uk), when i caught my 5 1/2lb tench yesterday i couldn't stop smiling, in-fact I'm smiling now! Why was you disappointed?, Thats a very nice fish and one you should be proud of!
  8. Four packs of fags, 10 pints, 2.5 kilo of boilies, half a football ticket................. when you think about it it's not that expensive Although in the last few years it has shot up at quite a rate! It's wouldn't hurt to see whats happening with our money a bit more though.
  9. Ask in your local pet shop if they can get it, it should be about £14 for 15kg!
  10. Newt, They were like a normal pop-up rig but with a small piece of plastic just above the hook that would force the hook to spin when moved, i expect like other things that they just fazed out when the next best thing caught our eye.
  11. Yea i think i'l have a bash at tying some, i used to buy them pre-tied as the propeller was a bit fiddly. I remember the first tme i actually targeted carp, i had a boat rod with 15lb line, some strawberry pop-ups and a pack of anchor rigs. I caught a carp what i would estimate at about 23lb, bet i couldn't do that again
  12. I was out with my quiver tip today fishing for tench and had to do a Superman impersonation to get my rod back as it darted towards the lake, thankfully it (or i) didn't go in! A few minutes later a 5 1/2lb tench slipped into the net When they want to go they can go like a steam train.
  13. And i very nearly caught a perch on one yesterday
  14. Unless it's in the 27th row, upper tier Elton i kind of agree with you, but i think its for statitics, only 10% of visitors to africa were kidnapped during the world cup

  17. Cool. so i'm thinking it's Here, Park up on Abbey Turning road? Is this free fishing or has it been taken over by a syndicate? Also is it possible to fish on all states of tide or would i have to go above the weir when the tide runs out? If so is that possible, ie: free and i'm not pouching? Gears already packed for when i finish work in 12 hours, i normaly get excited about fishing but just the thought of this place is driving me nuts
  18. Can i have more information on this please, i got so excited reading these post's i think a bit of wee slipped out I cant belive after fishing in essex for 16 years iv never heard of it. Iv come over all obsessive compulsive, 24 hours and 51 minutes untill my 7 night shift ends
  19. Does anybody still use anchor rigs, I remember using them with quite good results a few years ago but I haven’t seen them for ages, do people still use them, do they still work? Just sitting here tying some rigs and got reminiscing.
  20. The only time ive thought about using it is on hard waters and had an idea of sticking weed etc to it to disguise the hook. Never used it though!
  21. Me and a few mates are talking about fishing a night here in a few weeks, i looked on the webiste for info but it's quite outdated. If anyone here fish's there (the catfish lake) can you give me a rundown on the current rules and regulations and whether you need to book in advance. Also any tips on the lake itself! Thanks in advance.
  22. Where is this happening, i need to get over there and catch a Pike on a rubber duck
