Anyone who has to drive through londons congestion charge area will know that cyclists are a menace and should be banned from the road. There are hundreds of them in there all cutting up cars, intimidating pedestrians and ignoring red lights just to save 8 quid. Cyclists should be made to pay 16 quid congestion charge if you ask me.

Of course records are being broken. But its not because theres more fish about. its because they have to declare more of it now because of the fish buyers and sellers. The stricter the rules are enforced the more fish will appear. You just watch.

Nice fishing. But why do p[eople have to stick there fingers in the fishes gills for photos? Its not a dig at you Ken you see it everywere. I just cant work out why they have to do it. How would you like someone to stick there fingers down your thraot into youre lungs?

What a ridiculous thing to say. I've never heard anything so ridiculous. Do you speak for all boat owners and have you ever heard of anglers putting fish back that they dont want to eat? Talk about thinking your own little bubble is the whole world.

Thats a very simple way of looking at things. Easy to blame fishermen. Just show how little you know about the subject.

Dont sound very pro angling to me. Sounds anti angling. First they want you to release everything you catch now they dont even want you releasing it. The only thing left is dont catch the fish in the first place. They might be happy then. Busy bodys.

oh well thats it then. Might as well pack up fishing altogether. First they stop you killing fish to eat. Then say that putting them back is bad as weel. Sounds like a plan to me. Probably from the anti.

I wonder if this is anything to do with the NFSA becoming a limited company recently? or any efforts to secure extra funding?

The trend is about to grow too. With the RSA strategy well all soon be paying lots of money to put fish back into the sea.

Don't forget the anglers? Wasnt it the so called anglers who wanted the conservation seperate from everything else? We are all anglers. Just some have a bit more knowledge than others. Maybe most of the knowledge moved over to this forum? A good case for sticking them back together I think.

I used to fish for good sea fish. Now I fish for small undersize sea fish. Do I have to say any more.

Conger will never catch on. Comercial fisherman would have to work a bit if they caught conger. And they wouldnt like that.

The program wont show what its really like it will show what they want to be seen as. Its called propoganda and the comercial spin factory is full of it. I dont suppose it will show them fiddling quotas or dumping tons of dead fish back. Your fish and chip supper comes from abroad.

Why would any sane person want to watch a program about comercial fisherman? They will put any old crap on the telly these days but this is a joke even by there standards. maybe if the viewing public new what really went on they would turn over and watch something more sensible like the tellytubbys.

A golden mile wont make any diference in most places. It just sounds good. you need at least a golden six miles to make any proper diference or a compleat ban on gill nets even. Then it might make a diference. the golden mile is a bit like recycling youre rubbish or walking to work to save burning fossil fuels.
