  1. A rather clumsy effort using the clone tool from the left margin, right click to select, top tool click to select, press Alt and left click to select area to clone from, then left click on area to clone over. Ollie Jay next
  2. Can't we put this whole subject to sleep now, its gone on quite enough and I for one am getting bored with it. Either go or stay but please get on with it. As for the comps, its the judge who makes the choice on the final 3 based on whatever they like, and I really feel they shouldn't have to justify their choice. It would be like asking them to justify the topic. Steve in no way should take any blame, the comps are for fun only, and the rules need to reasonably loose to be fair to all comers and encourage more to join/enter. They can be enforced when ness, by Steve at his discretion, say if wrongly posted, outside time limit etc. I hate all this argueing thing, and would like to get back to basics, lifes too short for worries, don't we all come on here for a liitle escape from that? Regards to all Cameraman
  3. Already we have a price http://www.jacobsdigital.co.uk/products.php?productId=13044 10 million pixels
  4. A bird I liked Seals playing Scarecrows in Stiffkey made by the locals to raise awareness and money for UNICEF
  5. Goodness me, is it not the person who picked the topic to be the judge? Is is not to be there opion of whose top 3 they pick? Beauty in the eye of the beholeder and all that. If you like a photo you like it, isn't that enough? If you choose the topic - surely you know what your looking for, and then its up to the rest to pick from them, not hold debates. Can't we just get back to basics? Isn't it supposed to be for fun? Surprised at all this fuss Cameraman
  6. Hi all, just got back and checked in to see what I missed, sorry to be a nuisance but can I sit this one out and join in next. I've had a lovely time and will in due course be posting some pics from my week end away once I've resized etc. I took about 500, but will only post a couple. Cheers Cameraman

  8. I'm away from now till Wed, so jumped in and did my little bit early. Steve if this causes any probs, please delete this post and pic. Thanks. Just altered levels a bit, colour and light, so it looked like it had rained?

  10. My attempt: 1st, I used the high pass filter, as described by Mr Wiggly in the last round of edits to make everthing stand out a liitle more. 2nd, I used the magnetic lasso tool to capture the foreground rocks, then top menu bar selected Image, drop down box, selected adjustments, side box, selected brightness/contrast, increased both slightly. Back to top menu bar, select image - adjustments - Hue/saturation increased the hue and saturation slightly. 3rd, top menu bar, selected layer, drop down box selected flatten image. Just very slight chages to picture.

  16. knowing little about computors, I rember someone telling me you have to alter some setting to show HTML codes or similar. Sorry to be vague but thought it may jog someones memory.
  17. I also tend to crop in camera, and try to fill the frame. I also crop in photoshop but normally only for portraits, never seem to be any use with wildlife. My wife is my critic - if I can please her I can please anyone LOL
  18. The field at the front of the photo with the tree in was where I first took my son and daughter camping, some 20 years ago. Used to be a sign on gate said cam9ing. Old fellow lived alone in buildings you can see, very run down, he 80+ and illiterate, but so knowledge about area and animals was a joy to listen to. Both my kids have fond memories of the place, but funnily enough remember the horrendous loo!
