  1. looks interesting and appears quicker
  2. .408 cheytac is also a good replacement for .50 bmg in that it also holds supersonic velocities out to over 2000 yards like the .416 barrett and unlike the .50 bmg.The Californian law is a bit of a stupid one really as it specifically bans .50 bmg rifles but leaves weapons firing similar rounds (.510 DTC europ) perfectly legal.
  3. a very tightly packed box of Bryant and May's Englands Glory matches
  4. As stated previously in the UK there is no "road tax" and the closest thing VED is based on emissions so electric vehicles are exempt as are bicycles, so the roads are funded equally from central taxation by anybody who pays tax road users or not (even pedestrians help fund them if they pay tax) so caged drivers funding is not over whelming and equally if you check statistics there are far more car drivers who break the law than cyclists. As for the arrogance that is plain to see in car drivers as easily as it is in cyclists, the turds who merrily use their phones while driving despite it being against the law, who shoot red lights at crossings, including the w@nker who nearly hit me today when he decide a red light didnt mean stop to him despite it being on a level crossing over a train track (it's just a pity the train hadn't quite got to the crossing). Those who constantly speed (especially past schools) and those who park illegally in front of schools because they're too lazy and/or fat to walk an extra five yards. car drivers who fail to give the correct amount of clearance when passing cyclists and try and force you into kerb.redirecting my tax to pay for more cycle lanes would be a great idea except for the fact that a lot of the time they're blocked by arrogant car drivers who park in them.I could of course lump all car drivers together but there are good and bad in all walks I have come across a good number of courteous drivers who follow the highway code, obey the law and are pleasant to other road users but sadly nowadays they seem to be outweighed by the arrogant, self righteous and overly entitled car drivers who think they own the road and any common sense they have you could fit in a match box without taking the matches out first.
  5. Roads in the UK are funded from general taxation so anybody who pays tax funds the roads not just car drivers so by that right cyclists have the same right to use the roads as car drivers and with the exception of motorways they were not built expressly for the use of "caged drivers".As for the holier than thou attitude yes some cyclists are a55holes but there are a considerably larger number of car drivers who fit that bracket if for no other reason than there are more of them using the roads than cyclists.
  6. depends what poll you go by YouGov's poll from 3 days ago puts conservatives 4 points ahead of labour who are 1 point behind the brexit party https://yougov.co.uk/topics/politics/articles-reports/2019/07/12/voting-intention-con-24-brex-21-lab-20-lib-dem-19-
  7. why should cycles be road taxed ? cars aren't and haven't been since 1937. if your talking VED, that's based on emissions and I suspect cycles would fall in the same bracket as electric cars and be exempt. As for cyclists being the biggest menace to road safety well that's just complete ****** and any accident survey data will up hold this, yes some cyclists are idiots but there are far more car drivers who are are and cause accidents than cyclists.
  8. I have more of a problem with dipshits who think they can break into your property and steal with impunity, though I do agree with Ken in that Tony Martin isnt a good example in the same way that neither is Oscar Pistorius
  9. Best not mention fipronil contaminated eggs
  10. someones getting desperate, if you added all the other parties with labour it still only got to 314 which was still less than the conservatives total.
  11. I thought this was a good take on the situation https://www.spiked-online.com/2019/05/20/would-it-be-okay-to-throw-a-milkshake-at-anna-soubry/amp/
  12. Not insulting Americans Phone (I have American family) but it's just natural instinct and something we (and by that I mean the human race) have done forever. our nearest relatives apes do it and as vagabond points out so does most the rest of nature and we'll carry on doing it no matter what some people think
  13. That's nature, apes fight wars over territory been going on since the dawn of time.
  14. As opposed to the roughly 63 million Americans who liked him enough to actually vote for him, I think that holds a bit more sway than one Scot flying a Mexican flag
  15. 55% of our bacon imports come from Denmark or the Netherlands I doubt we import much at all from China and I doubt either Denmark or the Netherlands will be in any rush to lose that trade
  16. They might have difficulty in doing that in some areas as the locals are predominantly black or Asian also considering in London 66% of knife offenders under 25 were non white surely it make more sense to be stopping and searching these groups more often and political correctness be damned.
  17. Gozzer is asking if you listened to Alice Weidels speech to the EU parliament not the interview with JRM.
  18. More like she's hinted that parliament may have just voted for a no deal default
  19. I'm based just outside Birmingham so can use the markets but I prefer to grow my own chillies that way I can pick the varieties I want (I normally grow about 8 different varieties but have enough at the moment so am having a fallow year this year).
  20. Actually no cocoa is a really popular addition to chilli. Mind I'm biased I grow my own chillies so use them quite a lot, infact it reminds me I must make some more chilli jam as I've run out.
  21. wow that's a whole 1.4 % of the number of people eligible to vote, they best jump to it with such a massive demand, afterall what the other 45,000,000 people want doesnt matter.
