  2. as you stated the stamp of fish in the lake is double figure-up to 20 lb,it will be only common sense to use at least 12 lb main line and 10 lb hooklength.I would not drop lower,it will only lead to disapointment, and fish trailing the line all over the lake.Carp fight hard, sometimes harder than expected.Light set up surely gets you more bites, but when you hook better specimen your tackle needs to be up to the job. My advice-12 lb Drennan Double strength, and 10 lb DDS for hooklink. And at least size 8 hooks.
  3. i just done London-Peterlee-London trip,12 hours behind the wheel-with one hour rest.I must say im used to trips like that, but for some unexperienced drivers must be a killer/literally/

Problem with italians lies in leadership.Stupid decisions cost them dearly. They were sent to shoot english matilda tanks with 33mm guns, while everyone knew you can only destroy the tank with 88mm.

  6. had the quick look, and i think it serves its purpose well. Its nice to see the note:"You will need a valid Environment Agency rod licence to fish at this venue."
  7. not bad. nothing big so far this year, but lots of fun on cenrepin reel and float rod.Plenty of small carp/5-10 lb/over last couple of months. Earlier in the season few nice tench from fens. So far only few low double figure pike, but only one zed.Anyone knows where the zeds r gone this year?
  8. http://www.smog.pl/wideo/3406/najwiekszy_karp/ lucky german does the record still stand?
  9. in such conditions use of feeder tactics are limited.I would opt for helicopter set up. stocking type PVA and light-ish lead can be the winning tactic. In silt i never forget to atach the PVA nugett to the hook-you can naver be to sure
  10. Tying your own hooks is part of fishing. It gives me great pleasure to tie my own. I always have several types of hooks and hooklink material with me,in case i need to ring some changes. Sometimes droping the size or two in hook size, makes all the diference between catching and blanking, and unless you have dozen of diferent ready tied rigs with you -you stuffed. Ive been tying manualy hooks for ages, and when i bought the Drennan gizmo, only took me couple of hours to master it.The on box instructions are clear, and it does`nt take rocket scientist to learn how is done. Keep trying, and im sure you get more out your fishing-i know i do.
