sea and/or coarse and/or game?

A Norfolk Boy

Recommended Posts

I started with minnows on the Stour and progressed to dace, small roach and perch.

Then of to sea shore and boat, took my 12'match rod to float fish for flounders and fish live sandeels for bass on the trailing bank with it.

Moved to Salisbury joined SAC, back to coarse fishing.

Took up fly fishing and fly tying on winter evenings.

Had a spell of diving with them.

Now back to sea fishing.

When ever I drop anchor the first thing I look for is water :D:D

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM

Yes, I go sea angling, I'm very coarse and also game for anything!

Seriously though, I do all three, and a few others that don't fit into these categories. I used to be able to tickle Trout when I was a kid. What category does that fit into?

I've also caught newts on rod, (well, twig really), and line and a worm tied onto the end of the line. Wonder what you'd call that type of fishing?

I started off fishing course, because thats all that was around when i was a nipper. I started fly fishing at 8 when my dad took me back to Ireland (hes from Dublin) So I got hooked on that, then I got into the whole travel fishing thing, doing mostly fly stuff and thats what i've been doing since. Now its time to try other stuff, so Im getting into sea stuff, and hopefully uk swff. Basically I've always been on the lookout for new waters and new challenges but i've missed out on the great fishing available in this country. Time to put that right.

started coarsely, got into salmon fishing, then sea fishing then trout fishing and now UK SWFF.

I think coarse fish will be a craic on the fly - chub, perch, barbel etc which is my next aim ( need to move back to blighty first ! )

So i'm a fly fisherman rather than a sea/game/coarse fisherman, i'll try to catch anything on a flyrod. :D

I'm similar to GB, but I started of bait/lure coarse fishing, then pike on the fly, then into the salt, so I evolved into a fly fisher and will now target anything with a fly rod.

This year I will be targeting most fresh & saltwater fish with a fly rod.

Newt:

Interesting Vagabond. I could take your list of preferences, reverse it, and pretty much have my list of preferences.

The point I was trying to make Newt, is that although marlin fishing is my Numero Uno, ALL the other styles are close behind in joint second place.
