So true of every sport - even of fishing.

I do hope that both Freddie Flintoff and Brett Lee are fit for the Fifth Test, and that MCC find a couple more batsmen with at least half the backbone shown by Broad, Swann and Prior.

A side is usually fired up by a defeat - lets hope our chaps respond that way.

Game on!

We have a situation that even fit, Brett Lee might not be selected. Quite right too, we have bowlers who have performed well and they don't deserve to be dropped for someone who is untested on the international scene since his injury. I hope that Flintoff is fit though - there are several in the English team who deserve to be dropped. While I hope we win I like to watch a game of cricket and a win by an innings an 80 runs is neither entertaining or good for the game of Test cricket.

...nor is it value for money, which seeing the cost of tickets is quite important.

I support the picking of positive issues out of the game. England is damned by the media whether we win or lose, with some negative issue always being pulled to the fore.

As the National Game I feel that 1. it should be on terrestrial TV. 2. it should be given at least equal prominence in the media as football and 3. the Media need to get some backbone and stand up for the National team. If they play badly ok, say so but at least stand behind them and encourage them for future matches not just this interminable slagging off that the poor sods have to endure!

It's difficult to accept someone talking about taking the positives out of a game they've just lost by an innings and some, and perhaps the interminable slagging off is simply the result of media and people in general tiring of someone unwilling to address the facts of a game openly.

I lost sympathy with national sports teams when access to their games ceased to be available on free to air tv, thus alienating the general public. Sure I like to know they're doing well, but in reality,

they've been such a mediocrity in world terms (in most sports) I don't expect any English team to succeed.

I have been watching the start of our innings at the Oval and I have to wonder why the gas works is still there? It isn't used and it must be on prime land so why is it still there? Any ideas?

Probably just so they can still have a 'gas works end'.

More importantly though, just one wicket gone so far and 108 runs - even more bizarre, it's England batting ! :D

I was referring to the fact that for the second consecutive England Ashes test series we're level with Australia going into the final test.....I find that positive!

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..
