Don't want to get boring, but tried the new camera out today and first results (actually the result of a week of frustration :D )seems promising..

I also had the pleasure of King fisher company on Saturday.

One landed in the tree right above my main pole attack line (in corner of pond while I was having a cuppa), it proceded to attack my attack line and promptly caught something.

I feed the line and had another cuppa!!!!!!!!!!!

 

It was the first time I have ever seen a kingfisher catch a fish live with my own eyes and was a thrill to watch.

 

PS....ten mins later and I had a 1lb 14oz roach in my net from the same line so it could not have scared to many fish.

Great pics, Den! Although I've had a kingfisher on my rods several times I've never yet managed to get a photo. Well done indeed!

Very nice pics there Den. ive seen a few kingfishers whilst fishing but neva had one on my rod.

 

The best thing i saw was 2 geese taking off and landing on this lake i was fishing.

Den - you must the the only angler I know of who actually baits his rods. What are you using for the various species?
