I had the results on Thursday and it seems that the last round of chemo (3rd) is still working. 4th and final round is on the 23rd Dec so thats Christmas taken care of :D

Scan on the 6th Jan and results on the 13th

He is talking about putting me on an experimental drug, he has used it on 7 people, it worked on 2 but he never mentioned what happened to the other 5

He has ruled out the radiation treatment as the Cancer is too spread out for it to work.

Off to Bristol this afternoon to meet up with jabee, little onions, little feathers and husbands.

Cheers for now

Alan

Good to hear things are going well, Alan. Hope the weather will allow you some fishing this weekend.

Wishing you all the very best - we think of you often - keep fighting mate.

I'd like to pass on my very best wishes though I cannot begin to understand how you must feel.

When I posted about my kidney tumour I headed the thread 'My destiny is no longer in my hands' that most certainly is the case for both of us, we just have to be good lads and do what the doctor orders and hope for a successful outcome.

Walk tall Alan.

John.

I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any fellow - creature, let me do it now, let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

John, I was not going to update this topic as the news is a bit uncertain in my case. I updated it after reading about your plight just to let you know that you/we are not alone and never will be while AN and our friends are pulling for us.

Now I am off to the airport and going fishing, seems that John, onions and feathers are all members of the same club so if the boat is cancelled then its off to the pier and I can see that being a great crack :D:D

Tight lines.
