Used brand new lead weights that look like platinum 1000s of times with no noticeable reduction in caught fish. What a lot of nonsense. Glass weights...

strangely glass weights were patented in 1994 but i'm sure would have been use long before that ,not dissimilar to bubble floats which when full of water are nearly clear but with the advantage unlike the glass ones they can float and everywhere in between too.

 

next some tyke will be patenting spark plugs under a green recycling banner as "new" fishing ideas

I suppose that if all the fish were on the bank looking down they might agree that it's hard to see the glass weight, what does it look like underwater?

Glass weights were used by a guy who was one of the first to catch the Savay carp. He reasoned that there would be no electric charge passing from the lead to the swivel. Apparently two different metals behave like a battery in water !!! Think his name was Wilson??

Gimmick - expensive gimmick - much cheaper and more effect ways of disguising your lead - should you feel the need to.

Definately not for me Den! Ive always thought this buisness of electrical charges between lead and hook the ultimate in "what can I put in my crap mag this month" ! First I read of it was by the undisputed king of it.... Mr Paisly!
