probably china gets a few container loads of the stuff a week ,china seems to be "recycling" in companies views :D

Whenever I tear up anything with my address on, I put one half in the recycling and one in the landfill rubbish, for the very reason you've highlighted!

Best thing I bought for getting rid of stuff with personal details on is a cross-cut shredder, even envelopes go through it.

I agree. I can get a single sheet of A3 through ours. It also makes good kindling if I'm cooking outdoors.

Not true. I could easily write software to pull data from several different databases without one database 'knowing' the other existed.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

I'd go so far as to recommend everyone buys one. Mine is only a cheapie so it struggles with more than 4 sheets (A4) but so what? I sometimes soak the paper for a few minutes then squash it onto blocks about 1/2 inch thick using a home-made wine press. Once they've dried out they make good fire-lighters.
