quote todays news: Britain is facing one of the coldest winters in 100 years with conditions this week set to cause "widespread, persistent and severe" problems, forecasters have said. end quote.

Also a bit cold in china, Usa, etc etc.......................

Just wondering if this is yet proof of another item that both brown and milliband have failed in and that is their lastest support for the global warming brigade. They both can't be right for a change can they?

:huh::huh::huh:

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

i heard we have already had the coldest winter ever why hasnt the thames frozen 1ft deep like it did 300 years ago then?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/River_Thames_frost_fairs

seems "ever" could be since last year  or any other year but one that proves them wrong."since records began" erhem an engraving of a frozen thames is a record ,the aercheological proof that people lived on the bed of which is now the english channel is a record in the past things were colder than now it may not have temperatures marked but you could theoretically work out at what temperature an open fire wouldnt burn through solid ice or indeed the temp needed to provide conditions for the sea to freeze (some parts did in 1963 which is conveniently forgotten)

we need a decent winter to kill bugs even now (and it was -7.8 last night) we have roses with leaves on ,we need -7.8 for a solid month or so not the odd night

"From 1400 into the 19th century, there were 24 winters in which the Thames was recorded to have frozen over at London; if "more or less frozen over" years (in parentheses) are included, the number is 26: 1408, 1435, 1506, 1514, 1537, 1565, 1595, 1608, 1621, 1635, 1649, 1655, 1663, 1666, 1677, 1684, 1695, 1709, 1716, 1740, (1768), 1776, (1785), 1788, 1795, and 1814.[19]"

has the thames been filled with anti freeze or is the weather almost tropical compared to the past? does global warming just mean were actually colder than before the dates above? was pre medieval ice age britain basking in balmy tropical weather? remember 2000 years ago romans grew grapes almost up to hadrians wall ,global warming = tax raising blarney.

it feels warmer because we are warmer theres far more central heating today than i was a kid so going out gives the impression its colder than it is ,in yesteryear you went outside and it was little different to being inside you excepted the winter was colder than the summer and got on with life not blamed silly greenhouses

I do think the world's best job has to be weather forecasting. I found this bit of rock solid info for my area on a weather site this morning:

According to the climate prediction center there is a

- 23% chance that the average temperature for the 3-month period from January through March will be above normal

- 32% chance near normal

- 45% chance below normal

" My choices in life were either to be a piano player in a whore house or a politician. And to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference!" - Harry Truman, 33rd US President

yes and not unusual ,we dont have means of mass storage because non state companies have shareholders who want money not convenience for non share holders.

trouble is before the utilities were split up the supply system was tipped off so they split from the major company.you got the national grid with no other function than to maintain a grid and the utilities pay highly to use it and transco who are the same for gas. Both just milk the user and make huge profits and have no reason to do anything extra.

we have 8 days storage but all the time we have supply from overseas (about 50% is north sea gas some from norway ,europe and the far east etc) we are not using the 8 day cache ,if the supply from abroad was cut off the supply is topped up by the stored gas until its gone.

I cant remember a gas strike can anyone before it turned to natural gas from town gas (early 60's if i remember???) ,i presume town gas being national? was easy to disrupt with strikes?

its strange how natural gas and the huge cost to re-jet every gas appliance was done ,why isnt it possible to have town gas again but changed so it can use the jets we have now? and tell the arabs to poke it up their whoopsy.

admittedly it wasnt nice stuff and killed if breathed (head in the gas oven was a way of suicide) but modern technology could make it cleaner i'm sure ,all those defunct coal mines could prosper again if their not drowned.

we worry when the gas and oil goes but big business has a secret it wont disappear when the gas and coal does ,petrol diesel and gas can be made from coal even nasty rubbish coal ,their profits will spiral but only the rich will have the privilege ,i think we will return to the 50's and early 60's where heating was expensive and if you were fortunate to own a car it sat outside because to use it was a big cost.

the planet will not get cleaner cars wont disappear just yet the supply of man made fuel will pollute far more than the natural stuff does now ,fuel poverty will abound and as usual the poor will suffer to help the rich ,"you've never had it so good " is now not then or in the future
