Still nothing beats A Passion for Angling IMO. I quite like The Compleat Angler with Palmer & Barras when it come round - and if Catching the Impossible ever makes it to TV this will also be a must see show. Rumours that this might be on Channel 4 in the summer - poster on Cemex saying that Talk Sport were announcing this today??? Anyone else hear this?

I have been watching Passion again in the mornings and, although beautifully photographed, it is so contrived and artificial and why do they have to talk to one another in those irritating squeaky voices <_<

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

:D hahaha agreed.

also i am going to moan about the jamie O'hara show thats comming. i will make my statement here I WILL "NOT" WATCH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am not gonig to watch a no skill fisherman who only got on TV due to his finacial fees from football so hes not on there because hes got skill hes on there because he has money. there are much much better unknown fishermen out there that should have thier own show, talentless footballer trying to be a fisherman.... errrrr no. only time he has to fish is in between each season ~(3-4 weeks) tops, to me it's taking the micky out of fishing, get real fishermen on TV not him and his bloody misses.................:angry:

Big fan of Jungle Hooks and in fact any of Jeremy Wades programs. Cyril Chaquet's Fishing Adventurer is also very good, I like the pioneering spirit of both these presenters, fishing for exotic species in different locations. All their programs are part travel show and part fishing and the species they target hold a greater interest to me then watching some one else catching native fish that I can go after at home.

I also quiet like Paul Youngs fishing programs, not so much his fly fishing ones, but again the series when he travels around the world wetting a line.

It adds something special to catching exotics when you have spent years seeing them on TV thinking you will never catch one your self. So when it happpens it's like a dream come true.

Stephen

Nothing beats Passion for Angling in my opinion! Catching the Impossible is good but Martin Bowler doesn't have half the charisma of BJ or CY. Also enjoy watching the Jeremy Wade and Cyril Chaquet's programs. Compleat Angler is well put together and enjoyable. Some of John Baileys programs on Horse and Country are worth a watch too. If anyone didn't know already you can stream Horse and Country fishing programs here:

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. ~John Buchan

Fundamentally fishing is a philosophy. A philosophy of earth, and growth, and quiet places. In it there is a rule of life, a recognition of permanences. It makes you notice the little things of nature, wherever you may be. ~Bernard Venables

I didn't like the noises Bowler kept making when he was reeling in a fish.....sounded like he was straining on a stool or summot :o
