Mild and wet would be good for the Zander.

 

I actually enjoy fishing in the rain, seem to catch more and less people about.

HA! We are all mad because in truth whatever the weather good, bad, wet, hot, dry, freezing...You all know you will go fishing in it...hehehe...even if it means breaking the ice.

The weather does seemed to have taken a turn for the worse. It feels alot colder tonday and the weekends winds seems to have stripped alot of the trees. It feels like winter is on its way.

Seems about the same as last year atm, early nov was wet and blustery and so far this year seems identical, right down to the wind direction.

Personally hoping for the Big MF of a Winter we're long overdue but then I love the cold.

We are entering in to a La nino so might end up with a mild winter..but there has also been a solar minimun and the PDO has entered its negative phase jet stream has moved back south over the last few years,and there has been a tendency for northern blocking high pressure to the north/north east of the uk plus we had a cool/cold winter in 2008-09 and its said that the uk gets a cluster of cold winters so we could been in for a cold one again..but not as cold as last winter

 

i think it will be a mild start with cool/cold periods but the later winter will be very cold, as is often

the case in la nino's

Does anyone know what kind of winter we are expecting this year? I haven't heard anything. Are we in for another big freeze or are we back to mild and wet?

your joking arn't you the stupid weathermen cant see 12 hours into the future.chesters1 prediction is it will probably get progressively colder before getting warmer again about april ,with a possibility of fog or mist ,frost ,snow ,rain ,wind and flood with patches of sunshine

i'm just putting in one line the words the "professionals" will tell you in thousands of very expensive lines ;) at 50-50 were both going to be right occasionally.

see whos backing the forcast if its smithkline it will be flu raising weather ,a clothing company and it will be cold etc etc
