I've been watching the weather forecast with horror for over a week! However, it's much improved for East Kent with showers gradually dying out. Friday though in particular is supposed to be very windy. Luckilly with a S.W. wind as we have at present very few showers get over to our part of the world. For instance it's been fairly sunny today with just one very light shower that lasted just 5 minutes.

Typical though when you plan an event well in advance. Many of you you will remember that on the last Wingham Fish-In the tench were spawning, which is why I brought the date forward this time. Now we get some unseasonal weather! Mind you Wingham's always fished well in the wind. Indeed the 2 big tench catches I posted about earlier were caught in nasty weather, so here's hoping that the same happens this time.

With regret I will not be able to make it as she who must be obeyed has stated that it is not appropriate for the lad given the weather conditions that are forecast and I can't go without him!! :(

Everyone on my list of those who're coming should have received an e-mail by now. The only exceptions are existing Wingham members, and Leon and Rosie who I'll be phoning.

I've bought lots of goodes for a barbeque for Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes. These will be held at the clubhouse (outside weather permitting) betwen 12 & 2.

I wanted to check re B/S.....i would like to fish the margins for tench.....i have a reel loaded with 8lb ultima....but i remember something about minimum B/S for the carp anglers...

Need to check in case i need to get heavier line !!

My carp gear is all 15lb so no problem there on 2 of my rods !

No problem with the 8lb line for tench, John. When are you expecting to arrive?

Lyn, when are you planning to arrive? There's plenty of room so do you want a separate swim for Liam?
