I've landed a 12oz perch in one match on a lead plummet! whilst setting up a pole rig!

The fish was landed before the start of the match and didn't count

It wouldn't have counted anyway since artificial baits are not allowed

I've caught 2 perch withing a minute of each other using a SSG shot on my hook as a lazy way of plumbing quickly, both times I was bringing the line in and they jumped on.

Also used those Prawn sweets and elderberries and caught a carp and roach respectively

Sorry Norm

My reply to you is so late after your Question,

I hav`nt taken any eels on the rats or the day old Chicks that I have used for eels,

But I didnt catch much at all last season,

I was thinking back ,

I have caught a tiny perch, on,

A cockys eye,

I foul hooked a cocky when I was about 8 years old,

I couldnt get my self to take it off the hook, so one of my friends just pulled it off,

I still couldn`t get my self to remove the eye, so I left it on, and caught the perch,

Must have been the smell that attracted it,
