Is Prince Charles a danger to the country

Recommended Posts

Incidently, Max Hastings in the DM article isn't saying Charles is a danger to the country - just the monarchy.

I must say it would seem strange to have a monarch with such strong views on some topics - personally I think he is right on some and ridiculously wrong on others - but nowadays we only tolerate an unelected monarch on the basis that they stay out of politics. That would be difficult for Charles in some areas. I must say, the thought of Charles being king does push me a bit in the direction of republicanism

Under the succession to the Monarchy act any heir to the throne excludes him or herself from being King or Queen, plus they exclude all their offspring the moment they marry a Catholic as it is forbidden for a Monarch, his wife or her husband or consort to be a Catholic.

Charlie is the figure head of the MCS who's agenda is to close down 30% of our seas to everyone including anglers, so is he dangerous, for angler's freedom to fish, i think he's bonkers. ;)

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

He is certainly a danger to the monarchy as far as Australia is concerned. There is no doubt that Australia will eventually become a Republic but knowing that what ever we finish up with will be forever, many of us who want the change are content to allow things as they are until we can get what we want and not just something that the politicians want us have. However, while the Queen is seen to be acceptable in the mean time, I am afraid that as soon as Charles became King we would become a republic within a very short time. He is not a popular man here in Oz and even many of those who like him as a person feel that he would be a poor choice for a King, though of course choice does not come into it.

So what do aussies object to in Charles? Same things as in the UK - way he treated Diana, plus pompous etc?

Incidently, as a vicar I wouldn't be keen on him being head of the C of E. I think he would push many in the church to want disestablishment, though I don't know enough about William to know if he would be any more viable.

That to me is the best reason I've heard for having Charles as King. I'd love nothing better than to live in a modern secular democracy with full separation of Church and State.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.
