Not strange mate, just normal.......mind you the glow almost reaches rude proportions if I see an otter rescuing a carp from a commercial B)

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

There is yet another anti-otter article this month by an "celebrity" who calls himself a fisherman-naturalist and really ought to know better.

 

He doesn't seem to favour lion dung - his ammunition is more bovine in origin. <_<

I have no problem with otters at all. If I saw one swimming in the river whilst fishing I'd consider myself blessed and love the site. All part of my love of nature.

 

If they are a problem for man made carp ponds then tough luck. I'd rather give up fishing than see harm to them. Same goes for cormorants, pike and whatever.

 

 

 

Blimey ...I thought I was the only cormorant admirer :o

Wrong again, proven by scientists as capable of killing certain agricultural pests. Governments allowed and advocated the use of them not scientists. In fact scientists raised the issue of the damage to the wider ecosystem and initiated their removal (largely) from agricultural use.

No, 117 animals re-introduced to suitable areas between 1983 and 1999. Mainly rivers in East Anglia. English Heritage had nothing at all to do with it. They tend to look after our historic buildings. "Green loonies" didn't have anything to do with it. The work was researched and completed by zoologists, ecologists and biologists. I think you're getting mixed up with mink. They were released from fur farms by "Green loonies".
