Whereas high-oil halibut pellets keep coarse fish in peak physical shape

Especially the ones sold by the fishery. :D

To be honest it wouldn't surprise me if this is true, white bread is one of the worst things a human can eat so why would it be any better for an animal?

RSPB advise not to feed it to birds for the same reason.

Not that I'm arguing oil based pellets are any better!

i like my bread extra white and i expect "my" fish to eat it as well ,i cant see me buying at twice the price "green" bio bread just to chuck in a pond

cant stand this 50-50 crap or unbleached flour its like chewing cardboard with a yeast flavour ,i want to taste the filling not the bit holding it in ,even bloody brown bread is bloody half white!

as for fish getting fat isnt that a carp with a name ,how many people actively seek to catch the thinnest fish in a pond?

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Looks to me like the media 'silly season' has started early this year, (or is it silly season all year now?).

Just had a look at the 'fishery', the usual heavily stock carp water, a 1acre 'specimen' pool, and some 'canals' just "brimming with fish".

An interesting article in the news section. It seems that they're famous in Japan since a visit from a certain Mr Aki, (in a Japanese pop band), tried out the water with a new rod, and floating crust . Wholemeal I presume.

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John
