Blinkjing leads

Sorting through my box of leads trying to find a power cord for an LCD Screen, what is it with manufacturers that every time they bring out a new product they bring out a new blinking connection for them................

I like some new things such as the new Barrett 416, and I am blinking tempted to use one on the next cad designer who 'invents' a new coupling for a device...........

A little tip.... buy a labelling machine (you can get them cheap, or just use normal labels) and put one onto the plug of each power/recharging cable, then you'll always be able to identify which one is for which appliance.

Do your mains plugs as well on well hidden extension leads ,theres nothing worse than climbing under your desk then pulling a plug climbing out and finding its the wrong one

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

But that removes all the fun that lurks in the 'man drawer'! Ooooh, but play that off against a new little gadget and the ability to label EVERYTHING! Hmmmm, don't know which way I'd go...

Another organisational discipline most of us need is to throw away old recharging/feed leads, that don't fit anything anymore..

I have just looked in my Man drawer and they are in there , relating to old mobiles, electric shavers, walky talkies, rechargeable battery lamps, etc.

In the Garage I have more, for every other rechargeable DIY item I have long replaced and thrown away.

Even now, having looked at the evidence, I can't bring myself to bin them. :(
