Not many aquarists are likely do dump a live seahorse.

 

The agency said the seahorse was released back into the river.

 

I remember the report about the colony found a few years back in the estuary but am suprised that it's saline enough for them in the city.

 

There are quite a few odities about from trigger fish to the colony of mantis shripm out in Cardigan Bay.

True but they used to be pretty cheap to buy the last time I looked.

If it's not someone's cast off then I would imagine it's been swept up on the tide. They're not exactly strong swimmers.
