your on, hostilities over. Il be more then happy to view the massive fish pics but that may result in more hostlities owing to the envy that it would create. You lucky swine, now the fueds over, when/if you move, you can invite me down to help you find the monster pike in there.

to be honest i've never been too impressed with fishing near where i live, the trent is an hour away for the good bits, the derwent is about 500 yards away but i've never had anything worth mentioning out of there. there are some interesting places, but they're a bit of a walk. so yes i'm looking forward to some new challenges, glennb has already promised to take me out the week after i move in, so i'm looking forward to that

zedhead - when you finish with your studies and have your degree, you might consider moving over this way. Northern US and southern Canada have many of the species you are familiar with. Southern US has water that stays soft all winter and plenty of fish if you don't mind switching species.

 

Neither area is crowded or pressured as you folks in the UK know it.
