Ebay idiots

I can see that BIN can help out but still prefered it when it was just an auction site.

It seems it is now more a commercial site than auction site.

I wonder how long it will take for the Inland Revenue to tell ebay all UK sellers must be Vat registered regardless of revenue generated - that would make them a few quid!

All,

I know this thread is about e-bay and shoping on line. I don't think it is a hijack for me to say it ultimately is worthwhile to patronize the local tackle shops. Many, if given the chance will come within 10 - 15% of the online price. Especially if you are willing to handle any warranty issues directly with the company yourself on bigger ticket items.

I, for one, will be sorry to see them fade away for lack of a chance.

Edit: Not just limited to "fishing" stuff.

Your turnover has to be pretty substantial to be VAT registered; can't see them changing it to zero. Trading can mean being registered as self-employed though which has a very much lower threshold.

Rudd,

I don't shop e-bay. Wondering? Could e-bay require the seller to state the number available and when that number was reached the "sold" symbol would automatically appear - by e-bay?

I haven't a clue.

Yes. That is normal practice if you list multiple similar items. You can also list a number of items and then add more to the amount available or reduce the amount if you sell a quantity elseswhere.

Regards, Clive

To import or export anything other than personal effects you now have to have an EORI number.

It wont be long until online traders are targetted - the rest of us are getting a good hammering

If there is one thing on there I detest it is BUY IT NOW items.

I only shop "Buy It Now." I can't be bothered to bid for things. Well, not entirely true. I did get a very nice Gelert tent in an auction a year or two ago. In general, though, I just use EBay to shop online. I'll compare prices to what is on Amazon or other online retailers, and order from EBay if the price is right.

I live in a remote rural area and I rely on the Internet for a lot of goods that I simply can't get in shops without driving over an hour.

I've always thought you could drive the circumference of England in an hour. Tiny island off the coast of France isn't it?

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

I'd like to see you try to drive around my local town (Bournemouth/Poole conurbation) in less than an hour at present. The distances are tiny but the roadworks being done before the Olympics are gridlocking it. Took car for service last week; 30 minutes to go 4 miles, driver from opposite direction 2 hours to do 12 miles!
