The Kennet looking as healthy as I've ever seen it

I’ve been thoroughly bored this past couple of weekends what with the weather and all so today I donned the waterproofs and popped down to my favourite club stretch of the Kennet to see how it was coping with the rain. Very well was the answer, in fact I’ve never seen it look so good, levels were up about five inches I’d say and whilst there was a fair bit of colour in the water it wasn’t murky at all. The creases and eddies were back and it looked very fishable.

I realise this is probably a temporary state but surely some rain water must be getting through the ground into the aquifers which feed it? I hope so, it was a delight to see it in this condition.

Thanks Rusty, great pics :)

As famous fisherman John Gierach once said "I used to like fishing because I thought it had some larger significance. Now I like fishing because it's the one thing I can think of that probably doesn't."

Hi Dales

I could have taken some lovely pics of the gravl pit I was fishing this weekend but have lost interest in posting such things.

I had a stunning rudd and several big bream to 8.4.

It was wet windy and wild including my dayshelter going upside down at midnight but thankfully my bivvy with me in it was dry.

Rest assured I am still out there every weekend doing it bigger and better every weekend I just dont bother posting results anymore.

John

Same as Dales Ive just got so lazy when it comes to both taking photos then doing write ups.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!
