Funny thing is that we've probably bumped into each other on the bank - I fish TAA and FAS waters over here - what about you?

M

TAA and NAA. But I mainly fish Mondays as I work weekends, and a bit limited the hours I can fish at the moment. Actually, checking my blog I see I haven't fished TAA this season, mainly free waters with a bit of NAA.

I work in Aldermaston so I fish monday evenings quite a lot on the TAA Kennet beats until the winter sets in. You never know! M

The river's still rising...looks like I won't need my day off on Tuesday after all. I've been really unlucky with timing this season, I hope I get a few decent chances before the closed season.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Sorry to put a dampener on events but rain forecast (BBC so accuracy may be suspect) from Wednesday onwards

The two best times to go fishing are when it's raining and when it's not

Speen Moors is looking great, very high but within its banks and fishable. The water in the small pool is covering the weir so the slack bits have temorarily gone (so have the perch) but the large pool looks just like it did in APFA all those years ago, very nice to see. The forecast was dry so I went for an afternoon's chubbing/perching but I got soaked within half an hour of starting fishing…..I packed up and came home feeling miserable, cold, wet and not in the mood to re-live the experience by writing a blog entry about it. Did catch a chub pushing 2½ pounds though :) .

It's never a 'six', let's put it back

Yes I got caught in that in the afternoon chasing pike on the TAA lakes - no pike but lots of carp moving around. Nice morning though at Shaw where the Newbury ladies found me irresistible ;)
