Best World Cup Match So Far

What's been your favourite match of the World Cup so far?

 

I thought Korea v Poland today was pretty entertaining. Also, Japan were pretty unlucky to have that goal disallowed.

Im still seething over englands draw. :mad: :mad: :mad: I can't be bothered to watch any other games yet.

Two matches stand out for me;- Senegal/France and S Korea/Poland

 

1/ The opening match, with the so-called "underdogs", Senegal, beating the holders, pleased almost everybody except the French.

 

I don't know about the rest of you, but I can take a bit of Gallic disappointment in my stride.

 

2/ The South Koreans did exactly what England failed to do - when one of their guys was in possession, they RAN (how they ran!) into open spaces. When Poland had the ball, they RAN at their opponents and hurried them into poor passes

Ireland v Germany

I was in a pub in Louisburgh, Co Mayo at the time!

Pub was full of Irish supporters plus 2 Germans.

Germans were up and screaming when they scored and dam near crying when the pub erupted on the Irish equaliser. Great atmosphere, wished I could have stayed longer.

Croatia versus Italy?

We`ve now got 3 of the 4 `favourites` playing for their lives in the last games in this round!!!!

I.E. France, Argentina and Italy?

Maybe that should have been 3 out of 5? Spain and Brazil had such easy groups they were meant to waltz through anyway.

England are going to beat Germany in either the quarter or semi-final.

I also expect to beat the shore record for Bass this year!!

I`ve had a drink. So what!!!
