I knew an old dear who was still going trekking in the Himalayas when she was 102. I hope you have another 25+ fruitfull years or more in front of you, but I still think the should have appointed a pontiff closer to 65 than 75.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

At any rate, given that the bulk of practicing Catholics are Latinos, it is probably a good thing for the Catholic Church to have a Pope from South America rather than one from Europe.

Given the scope of his responsibility and his power, I'd not be comfortable with a Pope who seemed to accept his new position as reasonable rather than being worried if he was up to the task.

A million people are expected to watch the Pope inauguration ceremony today.

 

Was a pleasure to see him on walkabout the other day, giving his security people a few scares.
