Hiya, HFW, was on Davy's boat for a couple of days recently, fishing for , and getting a Common Skate....we all had an idea he would rattle up a "Mackeral Sushie " or something, by way of a wee treat........."what did he do ??" I hear you ask.....opened a packet of Oatcakes, "Try ONE of these" he says.. :blink: ...they were nice actually.... :D:D

 

As has `been said tho, a really nice guy.....we all had a blinding time.,.... :D:D

Ahhh that's because you were just the riffraff, both Orca and myself had lunch made for us by Hugh and his family and boy was it good :)

 

It was a tad surreal sitting at the table watching him and the rest of the family make the lunch.. cullen skink and fresh grilled Mackerel.. as Norrie would say "superb" :)

I was talking about on the boat...not at a table with all the accoutrements....bit of a let down actually.....ONE bleedin Oatcake !!!!!....and there was me starvin too......This is P***....... :D

Yup that's him, also he caught the skate on the "catchalot" special custom built rod, the same rod that catches near record Congers.... I must thank the builder of that rod :)

So long as it wasn't built by the same person that did Norrie's - He's not caught a skate on it yet :P

Too true, but I have on my Conoflex 50 class, cost all of £17.50...about ten times the worth of my new one !!!!!! In fact, the 80 is going on Ebay soon !!!!!! :D:D:D Might get a tenner for it ..... :yeah:
