Cheers Newt, like Yakity says they look like the Dogs doo daas, will be having a good read up, well priced as well.

Had thought about using it as an anchor well, been looking at the line tidy bags used on yachts, and this might be the answer like you say Yakity.

The live tank idea is OK but I doubt I'll do it, might build one for fun if I get time, but not sure I'd use it, we will see.

Yakity did you see that I checked out the cupholder, holy moly....! How you know?

The 'soft tackle boxes' are great. These days they probably outsell the hard boxes in the US to folks who fish very often. The BassPro near me has around quadruple the number of different bag sizes and designs than hard tackle boxes.

Especially nice since they hold a number of compartmented plastic boxes and you can keep a variety on hand for different types of fishing and quickly change the contents of your bag.

Hi Starvin.

Like you mate I thought about the live tank, but dont think Id use it either, well, not enough to warrent the hassle, and expense.

Sorry Marv, yes I did see your reply re the cup holder.

The reason I picked up on it was looking at my mates 13.

Went over it with a fine tooth combe.

May be very worth while to silicone another cup over the existing, from the inside of the Kayak.

One to think about is protecting it from stored kit inside the Yak, or when placing kit inside.

Wouldnt take much to tear it. :(

As with most things, you can adapt to make it work.

Starvin,

I forgot to say well done on the safty check list.

Its going to be a huge help, and eye opener to anyone who visits the site.

They will now realise, there is more to Kayakfishing than just buying a Kayak and going to sea.

Thought must be given to the safty issues aswell.

Nice one

yy :)

Cheers Yakity,

Re the cup holder, I'm toying with the idea of welding it closed with a spare bit of yak that I'll be hacking out from somewhere else, OK are going to send me one of the repair rods to give it a whirl, It'll be good practice for me, and give everyone a laugh if I cock it up. :D

Thanks for the pat on the back, I hope that everyone uses it until it becomes second nature.

Hi Starvin.

Welding it shut.......are you sure

Might be an idea to check the material is thick enough to cope with a weld??

I would think a reasonable thickness would be needed, otherwise, it would make a potentialaly tricky job, a nightmare.

Brave call, good luck with it.

If it does go tats up......you can always put flowers in it :D

Believe it or not I already have a picture with a plant in it. :D

Hell, it's not like it's in the hull is it, he who dares. :D

I'll have a practice first, got lots of bits of yak lying around.
