Very true Casey.

 

This fella always seems to have a permanent air of incompetancy about him. He just doesn't seem to have a clue what he's doing.

Fortunately he always tends to go fishing with an experienced angler. Good job he's there to put him onto the fish. I'd love to know how long it takes to film one episode. I think for every fish he lands, he must lose around six due to his cack-handed way of fishing.

One pretty is not enough, two lovelies needs one more, I'm sure I've heard him repeat a word at least four times.

Each to their own,Always seems to enjoy himself whatever he catches,Not obsessed with size and hey he even gets paid for it!! (that said I do seem to flick channels when he is on )

Got to say that I quite enjoy Paul Young's programmes. He doesn't profess to be anything other than a very keen angler, and one that is not afraid to ask advice from others. The one I least enjoy is the 'antiques' expert, forget his name, in the Times and gives valuations on old tackle, always comes over as a total snob, Chris someting or another!

Seriously, we had this discussion on the Sea fishing side of things and the guy has won umpteen UK competitions in fly fishing and knows his stuff too, apparently!

and his fish handling is better than just about any of the other "experts"

He's actually an actor as well. He turned up in (I think) Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) when Reeves & Mortimer remade it.

 

It's also been mentioned more than one fly fisher I know, that he's the best fluff chucker they've ever seen.
