Good point Tim. Thye did spend quite a lot of time catching different "Species" of Carp, when they were only catching different "Strains" of Carp.

 

If they were really going after ALL the different species of fish in the British Isles, they should have included Large & Small Mouth Bass (not common, but in one or two waters), Ide (In Ireland), Bitterling, Loach and a few others. I know these fish aren't common and are not really supposed to be here, but if they are in a pond, then they ARE here, just as Orfe and Ghost Carp are.

They did catch Ide,Loach Bitterling and one or two others(all tho i remember they caught this one species out of windermerre witch I'd never heired of be for.

Dunk, the 'bass in the UK' theory is probably now only a folk legend. There were likely bass in both Suffolk and Dorset on US bases at some time in the 60s/70s but seem to have sadly dissappeared. An old US army friend who was stationed here for four years tried to track them down, but drew a blank.
