Why Should Turban Wearers Get Away With It?

Because i have trouble breathing when I wear a seat belt.

The whole right side of my neck and face is stiff and the pressure from the belt presses against my throat.

It also makes me gag and heave.

When it gets to bad I pass the seatbelt behind my back, still wearing the belt though, but would a copper let me off?

 

My doctor has advised me to wear it like that but I'm sure a jobs worht police officer would not be very sympathetic.

What is the meaning of racism as opposed to religious discrimination?

 

We do have many ENGLISH/WHITE muslims.

 

Oh and muslims don't wear turbans.

 

 

Ferret, if thats the reason I am sure that you could get a medical exemption. Have you tried?

I remember the time before compusory seatbelts, and I remember all the patients we had with tracheostomys on ventilators because of the chest injuries from steering wheels. I would not feel comfortable driving without a seat belt, just as I would not feel comfortable riding a bike without a helmet.

My doctor told me to wear the belt just using the lap strap and the chest part behind me.

He said it was better than nothing.

He has never give anyone an exeption ticket, he just advies like he did with me.

 

Oh and don't tell me about tracheostomys, I remember mine to well, having a nebuliser with a traccy is the worst thing in the world and I reccomend ALL smokers to try it.
