Not very good considering it was a news item about the missing Malaysian Airways flight just recently...

 

Only 3,000 km out. (1880 miles)

Not suprising really. Many American maps simply state "Here be dragons" for any area further away than Mexico or Canada in much the same way that for many Londoners, anything north of Watford Gap is Sciotland.

Another 'faux pas', courtesy Google Earth; Goldsmith and Linne Islands in the Whitsundays...Must be difficult for the American tourists choosing to see any particular island and Australian tourist guides taking them to the correct place...
