Excellent ad, but I don't think it will make a lot of difference. Judging from other posts on AN most car drivers seem to think that traffic legislation is just advisory.

It's called Cell Broadcast Information or Short Message Service-Cell Broadcast (SMS-CB). This can be used to broadcast to all subscribers in a cell, no matter who the carrier is. I guess they installed a cell inside the cineam. Everyone in the cinemas phone would join this cell. When they sent the message every phone that was not switched of or not in "aircraft mode" would receive the SMS message simultaneously

Especially when normal people turn their phone off in the cinema?

Last time i was in a cinema was stars wars ,i doubt they will ever find me in another

If you have a mobile phone you receive Cell Broadcast Information messages all the time but they don't contain text. This protocol is also used by your phone and the transmitting tower to track where you are and to "pass on" your phone from one cell to the other when you are out and about.

My phone isnt on its uses electric which i have to replace ,i use my phone to transmit on my terms not its or others,i always carry one its used 3 or 4 times a year

Billie no mates is ideal i choose who to speak to its not dictated to me by someone else ,never answer the housephone either ,if it rings my mrs answers it,if it rings and shes out with my daughter its ignored ,my homephone can take texts if i see i know them i just may reply by text
