My phone isnt on its uses electric which i have to replace ,i use my phone to transmit on my terms not its or others,i always carry one its used 3 or 4 times a year

Billie no mates is ideal i choose who to speak to its not dictated to me by someone else ,never answer the housephone either ,if it rings my mrs answers it,if it rings and shes out with my daughter its ignored ,my homephone can take texts if i see i know them i just may reply by text

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

If you have a mobile phone you receive Cell Broadcast Information messages all the time it is switched on.

As i said 99.999999999999999999 of the time i have it with me which is mostly its off ,transmit away and when i say off i dont mean on standby or asleep ,it does take. A couple of minutes to come back on which is a disadvantage in a potential emergency though but hey to stop a bit of machinery dictating my life well worth it

A switched on phone is also transmitting data which is the pertinent point ,a mast transmitting data does nothing unless it gets data back
