Hi,

I thought I'd suggest an evening 'meet up' some where in Devon so that we can get together and perhaps arrange the next fishing trip.

Yakity Yak organised the last meeting in Exeter. I'm happy to drive anywhere (within reason). I know there are a few on the forum from N. Devon, Exmouth and Plymouth.

I'm going to be tied up with work until at least the 2nd week of March. Can anyone make the 9th March - location TBC.

Cheers,

Dave

Kayak - Hobie Mirage Outback

Location - Paignton

Hi all,

I'm back :) after a while away from here. The falconry season has finished, so fishing has moved back up to reason number one why I can't finish doing up the house/garden etc...

On the point of buying the fishfinder(thinking of the garmin 120 any one else got one and an opinon)and working out whether to fit an anchor system.

I'm up for another social meet. Can I suggest a venue-Exeter seemed pretty central but instead of going into the city how about meeting at the Seven stars at Kennford. It's at the bottom of Haldon/telegraph hill just before the A38 turns into the M5 and should be easy for south/east and north devon boys to get to?

Cheers Jon

HI Musket

Nice to have you back with us . Good call on the venue the Seven stars at Kennford ,perfect.

On the subject of fish finders I had a Garmin 240 for a few years on my old boat. I found it reliable , easy to use, clear definition and accurate . If I put a finder on the yak I would go for the same again.
