Campervan hire required

This is a long shot but could anyone suggest a decent place to hire a campervan at a reasonable price? Looking to hire one for last week in June (Glastonbury week) so realise prices will be higher than normal but the prices we've been quoted so far look very high, crazy in some cases.

Never hired one before but one issue seems to be most vans are at least 4 berth - there will only be 2 of us so does anyone know if they come any smaller? Looking for a proper camper with a toilet etc rather than the ones I've seen which look like converted Transits with a mattress thrown in.

Will be flying in from Ireland so would consider picking it up anywhere in England or Wales reasonably close to an airport.

I don't know how competitive this outfit is, but you can pick them up and drop them off at Southampton Airport

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

I've looked at hire prices for camper vans a couple of times and they do initially seem high compared to car hire prices - but the hirers are well aware that you're hiring a car and accommodation at the same time, and they charge you for it.

Its over £150 just to rent a place to park it on a camp site in the summer for a week plus amenities

The annoying thing is though they never use the showers on them so why do the makers fit them ,we tried ours and flooded the place but new motorhomes (what you really want unless your hardy) have improved but still the owners grab the showers stopping the campers getting theres

The prices are high because the costs are and having some hiree spoil the acres of wood finish expensive to repair not mentioning external damage because you can drive half of them on normal licencies so you could just drive it away then find how awkward they are to handle reversing onto muddy pitches

We lived in one for ten months in 2000/1 its running costs and camp fees took all our savings but asides from that i can see the charms of travellers but without the piles of poop left behind ofcourse ,if you dont like your neighbour just move and pick another vista but not the best year to go travelling unless you liked the smell of burning fur

Spotted this lot ,no idea who they are but they cater for dogs so not your usual lot where you dare not leave a fingerprint and cover everything in plastic incase they want money to steam clean non existant mess

Unbeatable - yes I tried them earlier - quoted almost £1700 for a 5 night hire. Almost unbeatable but unfortunately in the wrong direction....

Spoke to a relative in the trade, he recommended.....

They put out a lot of vans to Glastonbury, they pick people up at Taunton Station which is accessible from Brisol or Exeter Airport, or Heathrow for that matter!

Lots pick from don't know how prices compare but not too long a drive to Glastonbury.

Cheers, take your waders!
