I'm definatly going to take a look over at FAS this weekend but will probably end up at triggs lock on the wey today, that or goldsworth lake and the basingstoke canal.

I would definately recommend Farnham Angling Society (FAS)

I lived in Farnham for 3 years as a student. Unfortunately that period of my life was dominated by girls, booze and music.

Had I returned to angling then I bet my time would have been far better spent.

I remember the brook as it wound out of Farnham looked a great place to fish.

:clap2: Hi Budgie, theres some good fishing near Grimsby thats not far from you(3 hours)and i can always put you up.

I'll be there at Christmas, wheres good to fish then ?

Tony

I was a FAS member for several years and can recommend it. It's superb value for money. There are a few mainly carp lakes (very pleasant ones too) but the main attractions for me were tench and pike fishing at Frensham (as seen on a Passion for Angling) and chubbing and grayling fishing on the Wey. Neither of these waters were busy (which can't be said for some of the lakes!). I got myself tooled up for the catfish in Badshot Lea just before I moved house, so I never did get a proper crack at them. I also never got round to fishing the Loddon, which still annoys me!

That's quite an offer you've got there Budgie :)

Well! It must be my new Camo trousers! But just typical of my luck that its a bit of eel fishing in Grimsby and not some Bone fishing in the Bahamas! Thanks any way Sarah!

Well Ive not had as many oportunities to fish as I had hoped (mainly down to the car drama!) however before the great Volvo flooding incident I did manage several trips to the River Wandle and enjoyed them imensely.Had some cracking roach but couldnt get a Chub bigger than 8ozs or even find a barbel. Tried a few of the local park lakes as well and enjoyed going back to some simple fun casual fishing.

Back on the road again now and going to carry on on the river with a few trips to the Thames (Hampton Court info anyone?) and looking for a bit of winter piking? as it looks like Im going to be up here a bit over the season.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!
