Yet another PB from LA

[Spur-Hound]

Hi Folks

 

Was up with Davy, Albert and Nick at Lochaline this weekend. Friday night shortly after arrival i made my way down top the pier as the others went out to the social. 20 minutes into the session i got a crab like bite and wound into a heavy wieght that was not happy about coming up. After long back-aching winding and lifting of a realy angry lump on the end my Thorny finally broke surface. I new it was a biggy, so decided to walk round towards the steps and Jump the fish rather than try and lift it. Luckyily i grabbed it just before the hook pulled from its top jaw. I got it up onto the pier and as i was on my own got the mobile out and called Davy and Nick... "come quik big Thorny" They came around minutes later with the scales and the Camera. It wieghed in at 10lb 5oz.

 

 

I was in shock. Only my second double figure fish from the shore, both from Lochaline. The best part was watching her glide back down to the depths.

 

Had a great weekend thanks to Nick, Davy and Albert, and the smile wont be leaving for a good while

 

Over the weekend i managed 3 Doggies aswell as the Ray

HAd just travelled for 5 hours, then right into a fishing session...then 20 mins into it i get this Can one blame the face I joined them in the social not minutes afterwords as it started Pi$$1ing down.
