I saw the article in The Sun this morning, was gonna put it on but ya beat me to it.

Very good catch from us british again :clap2:

Could someone tell me how mnay of the top 10 carp caught have been caught by British anglers, as it it just me or is it us who allways seem to break the world record :headhurt:

Strangely enough untill the two French fish started competing for the title it has never been held by an English angler.Specimen carp fishing has been big in Belgium,Holland,Germany and Italy for quite a few years now.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

Am i the only one who hates the sight of the gut hanging down off these big carp? Sure, its a massive fish, but its not exactly a healthy looking specimen.

Almost like saying that you admire those fat *stards who cruise around your local town on their electric trolleys - should they be considered great specimens of humanity?

Boily-fed or burger-fed: its all the same to me!

lol

Not my cuppa either

Sorry Chubsta but u have to think about it this way. It states in the newspaper article that this fish is over 20 years old (obviously as its not going to get that big in 5 minutes). The thing is is that a 20 year old carp is like an 80 year old man or woman. It's not going to be in pristine condition.

It depends on the fish and the water it's in Dan, it might be the equivalent of a teenager. :)

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John
