You could all start some type of paul Kerry appreciation society. I used to have 1, twas one of my very first rods when I was about 8. Would you let me join your club? or would it be another with a funney handshake and all that jazz.?

socksys - that little bit more you talk about - With greys its your next 10 rods after you snap each one in sucession. I must be the only person never to snap an Appollo.

Winter, I also have an Abu 484 ,in its original bag too, but it doesnt see the light of day.....too heavy. Hopefully someone will send you an application form to join the D.P.K. Appreciation Society, but it is so secret,that no-one knows who is a member,or where the meetings are held !!!! :D:D

I have one I picked up 2nd hand for a fiver some years back. Still use it on the odd occasion when I fling a lead into the North Sea.

Ended up buying a cheap fixed spool odessa but did get what i believe to be a decent multi for my longbeam (daiwa 7ht), with regards to the rod though im having murder putting it together and taking it apart, its really stiff, near enough impossible to put it right in, :D any tips?

 

Roll on "its the same for me in the bedroom gags" etc.
