Lightning strikes killed at least 120 people in four Indian states as monsoon rains swept across much of the country.

Just reading this - this morning.

We have our fair share of lightning. Closest I can remember I was to a lightning event was the hair on my head standing up.

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

Mathew 4:19

Grangers law : anything i say will  turn out the opposite or not happen at all!

Life insurance? you wont enjoy a penny!

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.
Vaut mieux ne rien dire et passer pour un con que de parler et prouver que t'en est un!

Really close. Could you feel heat on exposed skin?

Cory,

I'll get me feet wet and get in trouble (cause I really don't know). I think cloud to ground lightning is really ground to cloud. That what I've been taught since I was a lad. Many a time, especially in the milk barn, we could feel the heat and smell the lightning. When your hair stands up or in Chesters1's case his ears you have actually been struck by lightning. Just not the main column. I was told, "don't worry you won't see the one that gets ya".

Maybe?

Kind of Correct, although I understand how it works this explains it:

http://science.howstuffworks.com/nature/natural-disasters/lightning.htm

Strike survivors have reported feeling themselves charge up moments before being hit.

If during a storm you get that tingly feeling, hit the deck and roll away as fast as possible, you may get lucky and not get hit.
