Well I won't be fishing it this week because I'm out for a beer on Friday.

I may give it a go some time in the next couple of weeks though and if I do, I'll drop a PM. If you fancy a walk along the towpath to laugh at the fool fishing, you're very welcome. I was thinking of the section by the Tyburn House.

Did you ever get around to fishing the Tame? I've had some cracking days catching chub, roach and dace on fly and chub and perch on lures up by Star City when I lived in Erdington.

Species caught in 2020: Barbel. European Eel. Bleak. Perch. Pike.

Species caught in 2019: Pike. Bream. Tench. Chub. Common Carp. European Eel. Barbel. Bleak. Dace.

Species caught in 2018: Perch. Bream. Rainbow Trout. Brown Trout. Chub. Roach. Carp. European Eel.

Species caught in 2017: Siamese carp. Striped catfish. Rohu. Mekong catfish. Amazon red tail catfish. Arapaima. Black Minnow Shark. Perch. Chub. Brown Trout. Pike. Bream. Roach. Rudd. Bleak. Common Carp.

Species caught in 2016: Siamese carp. Jullien's golden carp. Striped catfish. Mekong catfish. Amazon red tail catfish. Arapaima. Alligator gar. Rohu. Black Minnow Shark. Roach, Bream, Perch, Ballan Wrasse. Rudd. Common Carp. Pike. Zander. Chub. Bleak.

Species caught in 2015: Brown Trout. Roach. Bream. Terrapin. Eel. Barbel. Pike. Chub.

Ken,

Dropshoting, with about 1/2 a lob doubles my catch rate in my Walleye waters. Walleye are more of a warm water fish than most folks realize. Fishing shallow(er) flats or edges (i.e. lilly pads) is most productive with lures.

I mean when dropshoting ADD about 1/2 a lob to your already selected presentation.

Will bear that in mind, although I don't think lobs in the fridge at work would go down well.

no ken never fished the tame but caught a couple of double figure pike from behind the tyburn house a couple of years back.

Not really fished hose pounds but a few yours back, I had some cracking perch and pike to 14lb from the canal behind Perry Park using a home made side planer and walking slowly along the towpath.
