I've Emailed Dinsmores about their Split Shot - They are having a Laugh!!.

Dear Sirs,

I bought 3 boxes of your split shot from AJ Angling Tackle shop at Middleton, Leeds.

 1x No 1, 1x No 4 & 1 x No 6 at the price of £1.99 per box which barely covered the bottom of each.

I think you are taking the **** more than a little bit!!

I agree,its a bit like putting less and less Quality Street and Roses in the box every year,or Mars bars being half the size they were...they are expense items thats for sure....

The thing that annoys me is the disappearance of 'chunks' of chocolate in our chocolate bars? 

All of the makers are now selling their chocolate in a thin layer now and chunks of chocolate are a thing of the past. But the prices are still increasing even though we're getting much less chocolate than we used to in a bar of chocolate. 

And this type of thing has now started to happen with our split shot.

I guess we must feel fortunate that a pint of milk, or more importantly beer is still a pint, but then of course they just keep raising the price.

The ever diminishing shot you get in a contaainer is takin the urine big time!

Also, if you gert a so called refill pack of say bb's, you pay a fortune for about 6 oor 7 bastard shot ffs!

I don't buy the refill backs and so have countless containers full of small shot and empty of, bb's, No1's, AA's and AAA's.

I have a few ollivettes which I may start to use and add a few smaller shot!

It is grim,trouble is when I use wagglers on stillwaters I normally use shot to lock them,and it is normally AA/BB/No1 shot I use,the worst of it is the majority of it is of poor quality and not worth a light let alone the price their asking for it...

I have picked up enough dragging swims as a bailiff never to have to buy anymore in my life.

Me and the head bailff used to donate floats found in trees (some well in reach !?!) To the guys operating the open days to give to the kids! Along with a score of rod rests!

Strange finds on patrols ,keepnets with fish ,TWO seat legs (how did the owners not notice next time they went?) Carrying a big bucket of assorted tackle home found in the car park (that was returned that evening ) the first two still wait!

Both the above are all arond you ,look at your feet ,look above your head especially those that visit commercials
