I'm not far south of you John, and it's been bloody windy all day and there's been some short torrential rain.

 

I'm at Allonby Steve, it's calmed down quite a bit now, but still blowing fairly hard. Winds to die down a bit more tomorrow, but to be replaced by heavy rain. Thinking of going to Keswick, but forecasting up to 4ins of rain, so will decide in the morning.

We haven't had any proper rain since May.

Supposed to rain today but haven't seen any yet.

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

Perfect warmth it should be this all year round but 100 degree below when i am not detecting

You would get on just fine where my son is living at the moment, at least in the winter. One can be pretty sure that it the temperature will not rise above freezing between mid-December until the end of February, but then you would suffer in the summer. Very hot and humid. He does have a HUGE lake next to him, his house is about 50 yards from the shore of Lake Michigan.
